Description: Wolters Kluwer provides funding to support the education and research of associate degree nursing students. The Wolters Kluwer Student Transition Scholarship was established to assist the student pursuing a professional nursing education and career as a registered nurse. This scholarship is open to applicants that are currently a licensed practical nurse (LPN) enrolled in an associate degree nursing program or a new student enrolled in a pre-licensed degree track for an associate degree of nursing degree.

The award is given to a high-achieving nursing student is currently enrolled in a state-approved associate degree nursing program that holds OADN program membership. The recipient will be recognized at the 2026 OADN Convention, Empowering the ADN Educator: Flourishing with Strength and Sustainability, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, in San Antonio, TX, November 12 - 14, 2026.

Instructions: To apply for consideration of the Wolters Kluwer Student Transition Scholarship, individuals must submit the following materials on or before the application deadline of May 15, 2026:

  • Letter of Interest: A letter, not to exceed 500 words, discussing:
    • What motivated you to pursue a career in nursing.
    • How your personal and academic experiences have prepared you for this decision.
    • The ways in which your education and training have equipped you for professional nursing practice.
    • An outline of your career goals for the first five years following licensure as a registered nurse,
  • Unofficial Transcript: May be uploaded from student portal.
  • Applicant Headshot: A current headshot photo (see file upload instructions) for marketing and/or ceremonial use only. OADN Foundation blinds the candidate headshot information to eliminate possible unconscious bias in the review process. In drafting your candidate statements, please note that your headshot will not be shared with reviewers. Only your application packet narrative and supporting documents will be accessible to reviewers.
