Shameless Commerce is one of our most popular Hot Water & Hot Air Forum activities. In a rapid-fire format, selected participants will pitch a new product or service to the audience in a three-minute informercial-style presentation. The event is designed to be informal and engaging.

Each presenter has three minutes to make their pitch memorable. Presenters may use a short slide deck or simply speak from the podium. Each pitch will be followed by a brief audience Q&A.


Event Logistics
  • Date & Time: Wednesday, March 25 | 5:30–7:00 pm
    • Presenters will be asked to arrive to the session 15 minutes early
  • Lead/Moderator: Harvey Sachs, ACEEE

Presentation Format
  • Introduction: 30 seconds
    • Briefly introduce yourself and your organization
  • Pitch: 3 minutes
    • Presenters will be timed and cut off at the 3-minute limit—no exceptions
  • Q&A: Audience questions will follow each presentation

PowerPoint Slides
  • Presenters will have the option to use slides during their pitch. If they choose to do so, they will need to bring the slides on a thumb drive to load to the laptop prior to the session.
