Dear Resident,
This survey looks at the effects of traffic on our local roads, and in particular those roads that take traffic to, from or instead of the A342 between Ludgershall and Andover. The “A342 Group” of Parish Councils supported by their District, and County Councillors is compiling information on current roads constraints. This information will be used to support a report which will be presented to the relevant current and future authorities which includes Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) on the current unsatisfactory situation, and on the impact on these roads of the Draft 2042 District Plan proposals for new housing and industrial developments. These include major new developments at Ludgershall, Weyhill and other Parishes near the A342.
An appropriate and a well maintained road network is vital to our communities, so changes in traffic volumes and routes can have a major impact on road users, and communities. We need to ensure that TVBC, Hampshire County Council Highways, and future Authorities give appropriate weight to roads infrastructure in our area both currently and when developing the 2042 Plan.
All affected Parishes’ residents are being asked to give their views. Please help your local community by completing this survey either on paper or on line at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PVXZRQY
Thank you
