UTMSU Tax Clinic 2026: Student Registration

Do you need help with your tax return? You may be eligible for help at our free tax clinic if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is a collaborative partnership between the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), the University of Toronto Mississauga Students' Union (UTMSU), and our volunteers. Tax clinic volunteers’ complete tax and benefit returns for eligible individuals to ensure they receive, or continue to receive, the benefit payments to which they are entitled.

UTMSU is hosting their 2026 Tax Clinic in-person at the UTM Student Centre by appointment only starting March 23, 2026. The following registration will help us determine your eligibility for filing through CVITP. All approved registrants will be notified, and appointments will be made accordingly.

6.Eligibility Criteria: a tax situation is simple if an individual has no income or if their income comes from these sources. Please check off the statements that apply to you.(Required.)
7.Eligibility Criteria: please identify your modest income bracket. Individual's without dependents (such as a spouse, common-law partner and/or children), are considered a family size of 1. (Required.)
8.The CVITP does not provide support for complex tax situations and as such, UTMSU will not complete returns based on the following criteria. Please indicate if any of the following applies to you.(Required.)

If no, please consider creating an account before your appointment. If this is your first time filing, you can create an account after you have successfully filed for 2025.(Required.)
