Manufacturing manager (integrated degree) apprenticeship consultation
The Manufacturing manager (integrated degree) apprenticeship (ST0515) is being revised.
The Manufacturing manager (integrated degree) apprenticeship (ST0515) is being revised.
The revision group is seeking:
- views on the draft occupational standard, which can be accessed here
- additional employer group members
The proposed changes include:
- widening the applicability of the apprenticeship to all manufacturing sectors, rather than it being a food and drink-specific standard
- substantial updates to the occupational standard’s duties, knowledge, skills, and behaviours
Please complete the survey by 8 October to share your feedback.
The revision group has strong representation from food and drink, pharmaceutical, and process manufacturing employers. To ensure the apprenticeship meets the needs of a wide range of employers, additional members from manufacturing sectors not currently represented are required. The group is chaired by Murray Graham, Manufacturing Excellence Capability Lead and Graduate Champion at Nestlé. Murray has substantial manufacturing experience and has seen first-hand the value this apprenticeship provides. Cogent Skills and the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink are providing facilitation support.
