Practice Point 1.1.1. Use “diabetes and chronic kidney disease (CKD)”, “CKD in diabetes”, or “diabetic kidney disease” to identify people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) or type 2 diabetes (T2D) who have clinical evidence of CKD, with implications for treatment as evaluated in clinical trials enrolling similarly-defined populations.
