The Town of Olds has hired Dillon Consulting Limited (Dillon) to conduct a Community Transit Service Study. This study originates from the growing need for sustainable, affordable, and accessible transit solutions due to a growing and aging population and rising transportation costs. It aims to better understand the need for mobility of the Olds community, with a focus on seniors, potential solutions to solve the need, and the feasibility of implementing a solution that both solves the mobility gap and is fiscally sustainable to the Town.
As part of the engagement activities held in the study, we need your help to understand the travel patterns of the Olds community, the need for a transit service, and your insights on the potential transit solutions. The results will be used to help design a transit service and identify how well it would be used. This will be presented to the Council later this year, who will decide whether to move forward with the plan.
