Welcome to our Survey

Bike paths have become an increasingly popular amenity for Yarmouth residents and visitors looking to get out of their cars for recreation, exercise, or transportation purposes.  Bike paths can attract and retain visitors to a community and create additional revenue for local businesses.

Cape Cod Commission (CCC) and Town of Yarmouth (TOY) Staff have analyzed preliminary route alternatives to assess the feasibility for a north-south bike path extension from the Cape Cod Rail Trail (CCRT) by Bayberry Hills Golf Course to Route 28 in the vicinity of the former Drive-In Site along Parkers River.  The Town solicited public feedback through a series of public meetings this past summer and continues to seek public input during the feasibility assessment.

The purpose of this survey is to gauge overall community interest regarding a north-south bike path extension in general and specifically through a swath of Town-owned land between the CCRT and Route 28. It should be noted that all path options reviewed present a variety of challenges and would require additional study.  Further information about the bike path feasibility study can be viewed in the PowerPoint presentation given at the public meetings.

This survey will run through December 14, 2019. The results will be compiled and included in a final report to be prepared by the CCC which will include itemization of possible next steps.   The final report will be presented to the Town Administration and Board of Selectmen for their consideration.
