The International Society of Hypertension (ISH) is a globally recognized scientific organization dedicated to the prevention and control of hypertension and its cardiovascular consequences.

ISH MENA (Middle East & North Africa) functions as the regional expert body supporting:
  • Local adaptation of hypertension guidelines
  • Enabling cross-border research and education
  • Epidemiologic and clinical research
  • Health professional education & awareness campaigns
ISH MENA is uniquely positioned to build regionally relevant, globally aligned solutions through partnerships with national societies and academic leaders across 15+ countries.

The ISH MENA Hypertension Survey is a region-wide scientific initiative designed to fill the critical evidence gap in hypertension care across the Middle East and North Africa.

The purpose of this survey is:

  • Quantify real-world practices in diagnosis, risk stratification, treatment, and follow-up
  • Capture regional-specific variables (e.g., Ramadan modifications, pregnancy-related hypertension)
  • Identify infrastructure and equity gaps across public, private, and academic settings
  • Serve as the foundation for a regionally integrated hypertension registry
  • Enable year-over-year benchmarking of hypertension control and system performance
