Public comments on the 2026-2031 Strategic Plan draft were collected through November 27th.
Based on feedback shared through the public comment form, IMPD will adjust the new proposed mission, vision, and strategic
priorities as needed to ensure IMPD’s 5-year plan reflects the needs of our officers, professional staff, and the community we serve.
IMPD will then set more detailed action items and measurable outcome targets for each strategic priority area to guide the work
of the department for the next five years. In early 2026, IMPD will announce and implement the final strategic plan.
