Historic Preservation is about deciding what is important and how it should be protected. Planning for Historic Preservation involves identifying, protecting and enhancing places of historical and cultural significance and passing it along to the next generation.

For the purpose of the survey "historic places or historic properties" will include buildings, structures, districts, sites, landscapes, and/or objects older than 50 years which have significance in American and local history, architecture, engineering, archeology, or culture.

The Horry County Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation is updating its Preservation Plan and would like your feedback in this short survey.
