ASTCT Abstract Travel Grant Application - 2026 Tandem Meetings of ASTCT and CIBMTR

Grant Program Description

ASTCT will award a total of 25 abstract travel grants of $1500 each, payable post-meeting, for the 2026 Tandem Meetings of ASTCT & CIBMTR, taking place February 4-7 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Grant applications will be due Monday, December 8th, 2025 at 11:59PM Central Time (UTC-6:00).

This grant program is independent from the ASTCT SIG Travel Grant program. Please refer to the Tandem Meeting website for more information on ASTCT SIG Travel Grants.

Note: Be aware that grant payment may take several weeks after the close of the conference. Consider this when making financial arrangements to attend.

Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must be:

A current ASTCT Member

Whose abstract has been accepted for the 2026 Tandem Meetings (you should apply prior to notification of abstract acceptance)
Listed as the presenting author, at time of submission, of the abstract
Able to demonstrate commitment to the field of blood and marrow transplantation and/or cellular therapy
Enrolled in an accredited training program, and limited to MD or PhD Candidate, post-doc/fellow, or junior faculty (to be defined as within the first two years of faculty appointment). Trainees and new junior faculty submitting experimental/laboratory-based research are encouraged to apply.

Judging Criteria:

The Abstract Travel Grant Judging Committee will focus on the following criteria when selecting awardees:

Meets all eligibility requirements as shown above.
Merit: Oral presentations or highly-scored posters will be given preference.

Applicant name, address and ASTCT Member Number
Title and ID# of submitted abstract If you have submitted multiple abstracts, you must apply for a grant separately for each.
CV of submitter
Optional Cover Letter and Statement of commitment to the field (if applicant would like to supplement information on CV)

Judging by a selected ASTCT Committee will commence following the announcement of accepted abstracts. Judges will endeavor to select awardees as soon as possible after acceptance notifications go out; however please allow 3-4 weeks for grant announcements to be made.
