Riverview Community Plan Update Fall 2025 Survey

On February 21, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners directed staff to update the existing 2005 Riverview Community Plan. At the same time, the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) began a separate study to explore extending the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway along U.S. Highway 301 to Big Bend Road. Since this potential expressway extension could significantly influence land use and mobility along the U.S. 301 corridor, the Planning Commission and THEA are working together to align the community plan update with the transportation study.

Your responses are crucial to update the existing community plan policies or create new policies. Planning Commission staff will be back in the Spring of 2026 with draft changes and ideas based on your feedback today.
