Consultation on the HTA’s Code of Practice and Standards for the Research sector (Code E)

About this consultation:
The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) is consulting on proposed changes to its Research sector Code of Practice and Licensing Standards.

The Research Code is the first Code to be updated as part of the HTA's wider Codes of Practice review programme. As the current Research Code was last comprehensively reviewed around 10 years ago, this consultation is an important opportunity for stakeholders to share their views and help ensure that the Code and Standards remain clear, practical and fit for purpose. Further details about the consultation can be found on our website.

Please read the proposed draft Research Code of Practice and licensing standards before completing this form. The consultation closes on 20 November 2026.

Where possible, please reference the relevant paragraph number when commenting on the Code, and the relevant standard ID when commenting on the Standards.
