In the Hartford area, the Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) responsible for coordinating the development of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). An MTP is a federally-required long-range plan that covers all modes of surface transportation, including walking, biking, transit and rail, driving, and freight movement.
The MTP sets a regional vision and establishes goals for the region's transportation system. As part of this process, CRCOG is conducting this survey to better understand the transportation preferences, challenges, and needs of the region.
