STUDENT LED CAMPUS VISIT

HPREP is a graduate student-led initiative, officially approved as a Community Engaged Learning (CEL) project, designed to serve as a pipeline for high school students in San Antonio by providing early exposure to healthcare careers through interactive workshops. The goal is to help address the shortage of healthcare professionals in South Texas by building awareness and interest early on.

High School Students 11-12 graders (40-60 returning for repeated sessions)

Orientation is December 6, 2025.
Workshops will be December 13, 2025, January 10, 2026, and January 17, 2026

Each workshop date will feature three different health profession programs, each leading a 55-minute session (roughly 15–20 minutes for teaching a key concept or career pathway, and 35–40 minutes for an interactive activity). At any given time, each workshop will host 15–20 students, for a total of about 40–60 students participating overall.
