You are being invited to take part in a research project that is being conducted by King’s College London. The purpose of the study is to better understand the support needs and challenges faced by clinical care teams who work with refugee and asylum-seeking populations. Refugees and asylum seekers report high levels of trauma exposure and can suffer with a range of health problems. Trauma-informed services for refugees and asylum seekers are increasingly under-resourced and oversubscribed. This study attempts to identify key areas for service improvement, training, and resource provision.
This is a brief survey that includes short measures related to your wellbeing (e.g., burnout and secondary trauma), as well as open-ended questions exploring different aspects such as your training needs and clinical challenges.
Participation is completely voluntary. You should only take part if you want to, and choosing not to take part will not disadvantage you in any way. Once you have read the information sheet, please contact us if you have any questions that will help you make a decision about taking part. You are free to stop taking part at any point by closing your browser window, without having to give a reason. Withdrawing from the project will not affect you in any way.
As participation in the online questionnaire is not linked to your personal details, the investigators will not be able to identify you. As such, researchers will not be able to destroy your online questionnaire data if you chose to withdraw from the study. Please do not include any personal identifiable information in your responses.
Before you take part, it is important that you understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Please take some time to read through the following information and consider whether you would like to participate.
