Thank you for participating in this project's public survey. Your answers will help inform the development of the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission Transit Development Plan (TDP). This TDP will focus on identifying local transportation issues and concerns, analyzing regional needs and travel patterns, and proposing implementable demand-response public transit projects for the region. Demand-response transit is a dial-a-ride service in which transit reservations need to be made in advance, trips can be made for any purpose, and the service is curb-to-curb. Currently there are six counties in the Heart of Georgia Altamaha region that offer this type of service: Bleckley, Dodge, Telfair, Wayne, Wheeler, and Wilcox counties. GDOT would like to expand and enhance this service across the region.
