Thank you for your interest in the 2026 Emerging Leaders in Dairy Nutrition Science Scholarship. This is a joint initiative of the National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) and National Dairy Council (NDC). This scholarship is designed to support students who demonstrate a strong interest in nutrition science, dairy education, culinary medicine and improving health outcomes within Latino communities.

The program will provide three (3) selected scholars with financial support to attend the 2026 NHMA Annual Conference, while also encouraging professional engagement through thought leadership, social media dialogue, and community-focused influence. Scholars will gain exposure to leaders in health, nutrition, and policy, while contributing their perspectives on the role of nutrition and dairy science in improving health outcomes.

Eligibility:
- Be a current student (undergraduate, graduate, or professional program).
- Must attend a school in the United states.
- Demonstrate an interest in nutrition, dairy science, and/or food systems.
- Must attend the full 2026 NHMA Annual Conference (May 27–29, 2026) in Leesburg, Virginia.
- Must submit an unofficial transcript.
- Must submit the full online application and ensure all required documents are uploaded by the deadline.

Note: While this scholarship centers on Latino health, it is open to all students, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background, who demonstrate a commitment to serving Latino communities.
