Thursday, February 12, 2026 | 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
The Maryland House of Delegates, 6 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD
Thank you for your interest in attending MCF’s Annual Family Day in Annapolis! This event is FREE and IN PERSON.
Each participant 18 years of age or older MUST complete their own registration form.
School-aged children 12 years old or older are welcome to attend. We strongly encourage participants to consider whether a school-aged child under the age of 12 should attend. You will be required to provide the name and age of every person 17 years old and under who will accompany you to the event.
Important Update for 2026 - Please Read
This year, we’re trying something new. We heard your feedback and took your recommendations to heart. In past years, scheduling appointments with legislators in advance has been unpredictable; legislators are often pulled into session or other obligations, appointments can feel rushed, and coordinating groups takes extra time.
Instead, after the program this year, you will have the opportunity to visit the House and Senate buildings and speak with your legislators at your own pace.
We’ll give you time to connect with others in your district if you’d like to go as a group, or you’re welcome to go individually. Our staff will be on-site to help you navigate the buildings and ensure you have everything you need for a meaningful and impactful conversation.
Please note that we will still follow an overall timeframe for the day, especially for those using the buses provided for transportation.
Getting to Annapolis
Bus: MCF will provide transportation from each region of the state for participants who wish to ride a bus rather than drive. Pick up locations and times are listed in the registration form.
Drive: Participants may drive their own cars to the event; however, parking in Annapolis is very limited. We strongly recommend parking at the Navy Stadium and taking the shuttle, which runs regularly to the State House. Please note that there is a parking fee at the stadium, and from the shuttle drop-off point in front of the State House, you will need to walk across the street to reach the House of Delegates.
Walking in Annapolis
Please note that this event involves a significant amount of walking. We will begin in the House of Delegates, and you will also have the opportunity to walk across the street to the Senate office buildings. In both locations, there is additional walking between legislators’ offices. Please take this into consideration when deciding whether you or a family member will be able to comfortably navigate the event.
Weather Cancellation
If there is inclement weather and Anne Arundel County schools are closed, Family Day will be rescheduled.
Cancelling Your Reservation
Space is limited for this event. If your plans change, please email info@mdcoalition.org to let us know. This will allow someone else to register in the event we have a waiting list.
Pre-Event Information Session
MCF will offer an optional virtual information session to provide more details about legislation under consideration during the 2026 General Assembly, what to expect the day of the event and ways to have productive conversations with your elected representatives. More information will be provided as we get closer to Family Day.
