Introduction
WHY IS THIS SURVEY BEING CARRIED OUT?
As we know, the cost of housing whether for sale or rent in Haddenham and surrounding areas is very high. This can make it very difficult for many households to afford local housing costs or meet their specific needs. Haddenham Parish Council has teamed up with local charities Community Impact Bucks & Community First Oxfordshire to explore whether affordable housing could be provided for people with an unmet housing need and a strong connection to the local area through a community land trust (more info on the next page).
THE AIM OF THIS SURVEY IS TO ASK LOCAL HOUSEHOLDS ABOUT THEIR INTEREST IN A COMMUNITY LAND TRUST AND TO FIND OUT ABOUT LOCAL HOUSING NEEDS.
THOSE IN HOUSING NEED MIGHT INCLUDE:

- First-time buyers
- Older people thinking about downsizing
- People struggling to afford rent or mortgage costs
- People who cannot afford to buy a home at open-market prices
- People who need housing at an affordable rent
- People who struggle to meet their housing costs but who are not eligible for social housing or score low priority on Bucks Council’s waiting list
THE SURVEY
Community First Oxfordshire (CFO) will undertake the survey for a report on local housing need on behalf of Community Impact Bucks (CiB) and Haddenham Parish Council. By filling in this form you consent for the information you provide being held by CFO and CiB. An anonymized report on the findings will be shared with Haddenham Parish Council. All information will be kept in accordance with UK General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (incorporating DUAA Act 2025) and will not be shared with any other organisation.
