Manager of Membership, Education & Programming
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
Actual starting salary will be based on qualifications, experience, skills, and organizational equity considerations.

About the Role


The Manager of Membership, Education, and Programming serves as the primary day-to-day point of contact for ASTDD's approximately 600 members, building relationships, supporting engagement, and helping members connect with the resources, opportunities, and community they need to strengthen oral health programs in their states and territories.

Membership Management and Engagement
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, renewals, and ongoing engagement across approximately 600 members, serving as the primary day-to-day point of contact for members
  • Develop and implement membership engagement and retention strategies, build ongoing relationships with state and territorial oral health program leaders, and report regularly on membership trends
  • Serve as the functional lead for membership use of the Association Management System (AMS)/CRM, overseeing membership data, engagement tracking, communications, renewals, and reporting
  • Support the identification, recruitment, and development of volunteer leaders across committees, Communities of Practice, mentorship activities, and other member engagement opportunities
Committee and Communities of Practice Leadership
  • Serve as the primary staff liaison to assigned committees, partnering with committee chairs and volunteer leaders to advance priorities, manage deliverables, and sustain engagement
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and manage up to five committees (each meeting up to four times per year),, including agenda development, facilitation, and follow-through
  • Facilitate approximately two Communities of Practice per month, including content planning, guiding discussion, capturing outcomes, and reporting results

Education and Professional Development
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage approximately one to two continuing education programs per month, including topic development, speaker coordination, and CE accreditation and compliance requirements
  • Design and manage a peer mentorship program for new state and territorial dental directors and oral health program leads
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, gather participant feedback, and use data to improve future offerings
Program and Project Management
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets across membership, education, and programming activities
  • Support the Executive Director in developing and implementing ASTDD's annual organizational workplan
  • Develop member communications, program announcements, and educational resources in coordination with communications staff
  • Collaborate with the ASTDD Foundation President and CEO on Foundation initiatives and programs as assigned
