Town of Groton, MA Hazard Mitigation Plan Update - Public Survey
The Town of Groton is currently updating its 2020 Groton Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP).
The HMP is important because it helps the Town plan for projects and activities that help reduce the risk of harm to people and properties from natural hazard events, such as flooding, winter storms, and drought. Communities must update their HMPs every five years to remain eligible for certain types of funding assistance that can support hazard mitigation.
We need your help as we gather information for the plan!
The information you provide in this survey will help the Groton Local Hazard Mitigation Committee (LHMC) identify hazard mitigation projects, coordinate activities, and position the Town to access funding for implementation. The Groton LHMC thanks you for taking the time to participate and provide valuable feedback.
This survey should take less about 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and all responses will remain anonymous. If you have questions or barriers to participating, please contact Rachael Mead (Deputy Police Chief) at rmead@gortonma.gov. Project updates and information will be posted to the Town's project webpage at
https://www.grotonma.gov/hazard-mitigation-plan/
throughout the planning process.
