Wigan Council’s Public Health team is carrying out some work to better understand gambling across Wigan, including people’s experiences of gambling, the experiences of those close to someone who gambles, and awareness of the help and support available to those who want it.
When we say gambling, we mean any activity where money is spent on the chance of winning something. This includes things such as the National Lottery, scratch cards, bingo, betting on sports or horses, gaming machines and gambling online.
Your responses will be combined with other information being gathered to help us understand what is happening locally and how we can develop the right information and support for people who may want it.
Taking part is voluntary and completely anonymous. We do not ask for your name, full postcode or contact details. Your responses will be kept securely, looked at alongside responses from other people and reported anonymously. We will not know who has completed the survey or be able to link any findings back to you.
