2026 Flinn-Brown Awards Nomination Form

Please submit your nominations for the 2026 Flinn-Brown Awards by Friday, June 5 at 5:00 p.m.

Winners will be announced at the 2026 Flinn-Brown Convention. The 2026 Arizona Champions will be announced at the Pre-Convention Reception on August 13 at the FOUND:RE Hotel, and the Jack Jewett and Network Builder winners on August 14 at On Jackson in Phoenix.
Five high-impact leaders from throughout Arizona are honored annually at the Flinn-Brown Convention.

The individual winners of the Flinn-Brown Awards have made significant contributions to Arizona as state-government advisers, elected officials, agency executives, and policy experts, and have played important roles in strengthening their communities and the Flinn-Brown Network. This is your opportunity to nominate Fellows from the Network!

Jack Jewett Award Criteria

Jack Jewett is a former Flinn Foundation President and CEO, state legislator, and member of the Arizona Board of Regents. The Jack Jewett Award nominee should exemplify Jack’s leadership approach, Flinn-Brown’s tenets, and commitment to Arizona, and be an active contributor to the Flinn-Brown Network. Specifically, the nominee has:
  1. Worked on a significant public-policy solution that benefited Arizona;
  2. Attained a state-level civic leadership position in Arizona, defined as: a state elected official, state-agency executive, policy advisor, or member of a state board or commission;
  3. Exhibited high ethical standards, a commitment to civility, sustained public service, and a keen interest in working with people from different perspectives;
  4. Engaged Flinn-Brown colleagues in their work and made valuable contributions to the Flinn-Brown Network.

Flinn-Brown Network Builder

This award will go to ONE Fellow who has shown a special commitment to and excellence in growing and enhancing the Flinn-Brown Network. Specifically, the winner has
  1. Has been a substantial force in elevating the Flinn-Brown Network since their selection as a Fellow; and
  2. Thoughtfully finds new and innovative opportunities to include Fellows in their work and/or to bring Fellows together for the benefit of the Network.

Arizona Champion Award Criteria

This award will be given to THREE individual Fellows - one in each geographic region (Northern, Central, and Southern Arizona) for their leadership achievements. This honor will reward Fellows for thinking big, working on a path to improvement, and incorporating the Flinn-Brown Network in their work. Specifically, the winner has
  1. Demonstrates a devotion to public service in Arizona and whose achievements in public service have current or potential statewide implications or impact;
  2. Embodies the Flinn-Brown principles of high ethical standards, commitment to civility, and keen interest in working with people from different perspectives; and
  3. Actively contributes to the Flinn-Brown Network.
