2024-2025 Application: Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the 2024-2025 Georgia Women's Policy Institute experience!

The Georgia Women’s Policy Institute (GWPI) is the YWCA of Greater Atlanta’s signature leadership, advocacy, and civic engagement training program, where women from diverse backgrounds learn how to develop and support state-level policy proposals. GWPI fellows work together to choose policy projects that are focused on legislation that would improve the lives of women and their families, including these issue areas- health and safety, economic empowerment, racial justice and reproductive justice. 2024 marks the 13th year of the Georgia Women's Policy Institute.

The application is due on Monday, April 1st by midnight.

If you have any questions about the application, please reach out to Advocacy Program Manager, Elle Knott at elle.knott@ywcaatlanta.org.

Tuition for Georgia Women's Policy Institute is $1150, and can be paid in monthly installments. Applicants are encouraged to seek participation sponsorship from their employers. Scholarships are available, however, and we are dedicated to ensuring that finances are not a barrier to participation for interested and dedicated participants.

Please note: Diversity, equity and inclusion are important to the YWCA of Greater of Atlanta. Therefore it is our policy to afford equal opportunities to applicants, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.

Please also note that individuals actively running for or serving in an elected office cannot participate in GWPI because of our nonpartisan status. We wish you the best in your campaign, and encourage you to apply at another time if appropriate.

We look forward to reading your application!
