Pemberton Valley Dyking District Background

The Pemberton Valley Dyking District (PVDD) is an organization known as an improvement district. In 1947, the PVDD was granted authority to collect taxes in exchange for services related to flood protection. Our tax base includes properties in the Village of Pemberton and the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) Area C, and along the Lillooet River and associated streams (excluding Líl̓wat Nation reserve land).
