Given the current economy we are reevaluating the business support we provide in our cluster industries. We want your feedback and expect providing it will take between 3 and 5 minutes (depending on the length of your open-ended responses). Thank you in advance for providing your insight. Your feedback will assist with determining priorities of business support.

Why focus on industry clusters? We focus on four key clusters because they are the engines of the Portland economy. They represent the majority of competitive traded-sector firms in the region, the areas in which Portland has an “ecosystem” that can nurture high-growth startups, and the assets that are likely to attract outside investment. They are, and will continue to be, the drivers of high-quality job and wealth creation in the region. Put simply, Portland cannot create an equitable economy unless it involves our leading industry clusters.

These four leading clusters are Athletic & Outdoor, Green Cities (Clean Tech), Metals & Machinery, and Technology & Media. Survey responses will be used to develop cluster action plans that will guide interventions in these industries over the next three to five years.
