2026 Giles Joslyn Youth Initiative Award

The Giles Joslyn Youth Initiative Award was created to recognize the talented, generous youth in our communities. The award is eligible for youth age 18 and under who were the primary organizer of a charitable program or project.

Named for the inaugural recipient of the Youth Initiative Award, Giles Joslyn, for creating and organizing Stringfest concerts to raise funds to purchase band instruments and music lessons for students in need.

Criteria & Eligibility:
  • The charitable program or project must serve Muscatine County residents.
  • The initiative must have taken place in the last three years.
  • Those who received payment to work on the charitable initiative are not eligible.

The award recipient will receive a $1,000 stipend for their charity or charitable cause of choice within Muscatine County.
