The Town of Tillsonburg is exploring the potential of becoming a film-friendly community and is seeking public input to help guide this decision. Film and television production can bring economic activity to communities through local spending at restaurants, accommodations, trades, and services, while also increasing community visibility and supporting cultural development.

At the same time, Town Council has emphasized the importance of carefully balancing potential economic and promotional benefits with impacts on residents, neighbourhoods, and municipal resources. Concerns such as road closures, noise, privacy, and whether the financial return justifies the disruption are key considerations.

This survey is part of the Town’s public consultation process. Your feedback will help determine whether Tillsonburg should proceed with a film-friendly policy and, if so, what conditions, safeguards, and limitations should be in place. All responses will be summarized and presented to Town Council.

Thanks for taking part - we appreciate your input!
