Support at Home Program Inquiry

INTRODUCTION

Support at Home is the Australian Government’s new way of providing help at home for older people. It replaced the Home Care Packages (HCP) program on 1 November 2025.

Dementia Australia wants to understand how the new program is working in practice for people living with dementia.

This survey is an opportunity to share your experiences or observations of the new Support at Home program.

This survey is for people living with dementia, carers and families, clinicians, assessors, advocates, service providers or community organisations.

If you are responding on behalf of an organisation, please answer based on the experiences you are hearing from your members or community.

The survey results will be used to inform Dementia Australia's response to the Senate Inquiry into Support at Home, and in other advocacy for people living with dementia.

In completing this survey, you understand that your de-identified responses may be used in submissions, media or social media or shared with government. Providing your name or contact details at the end of the survey is optional and will only be used for record-keeping and follow up. You don't have to respond to every question.

If completing this survey raises any concerns or you need support, the National Dementia Helpline is available on 1800 100 500.
