Study Introduction and Purpose
The purpose of this study is to learn about the nurse practitioner (NP) workforce in Canada, including how and where they work, their level of satisfaction with different parts of their job, future job plans, and reasons for staying at or leaving their job. This will inform policies and practices for the effective development and implementation of the NP workforce in Canada. We are inviting all NPs in Canada to participate and expect 3,500 will complete the survey. To participate, you must be an NP that 1) is licensed to practice in any provincial or territorial jurisdiction in Canada; 2) regardless of their employed position (e.g., NP, clinical leader, manager/administrator, faculty), maintains a clinical practice involving the direct care of patients; and 3) is fluent in English or French.
