Application to Participate in TAC Training Cohort 2

TAC is a program in adoption competency. This evidence-based training is designed to increase access to adoption-competent mental health professionals, and to improve the wellbeing of adoptees in our communities. Participants join interactive, instructor-led sessions in a virtual format.

What will you learn?
  • Working with adopted children, youth, and adoptive families
  • Understanding how trauma impacts adopted children and building the tools to support their recovery
  • Develop skills in working with adoptees and families with open and ongoing connections with birth families
  • So much more!
Who can take TAC?
  • Therapists must be licensed in Texas and providing services in Texas.
  • Be clinically licensed or under supervision toward licensure and work regularly with adoptive families in a clinical setting.
  • The following licenses are acceptable: LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, and LPC-Associate.
Note: Only portions of TAC that comply with Executive Orders will be provided.
