Introductory Statement

Plans are progressing to relocate Penge Library to the Kentwood Adult Education Centre, which is just a four-minute walk from the existing library building. We want to understand your use of the current Penge Library to inform the design of the relocated library.
What is the Proposal?
The new Penge Library, combined with the shared Adult Education Centre, is expected to include:
· A dedicated library area with its own external entrance.
· Usual library facilities including books for children and adults; children’s library with activity space; public PCs, WiFi and printing; study and reading space.
· Access to a shared café, break-out areas, activity room, and outdoor green space.
· Space to hold existing library activities and events including Bounce and Rhyme, ‘Obie’ Interactive Floor Mat, and Something To Do With A Brew.
· Public toilets and baby changing facilities.
· On-site parking, buggy storage, and pedestrian access.
