The Safe Streets for All (SS4A) program, administered by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), provides federal funding to support local initiatives aimed at reducing and ultimately eliminating roadway fatalities and serious injuries. The program funds two categories of projects: planning and implementation.
The City of Jamestown was awarded a planning grant under the SS4A program to develop a Road Action Plan (RAP). This effort will be guided by the “Vision Zero” framework,
a data-driven planning approach that prioritizes roadway safety and seeks to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries while improving safe mobility for all users.Potential project locations for improvements have been identified based on crash data and community insights. The table below highlights 10 potential projects and their associated improvements. Additional details for each project location are located further down the page for your review before selecting projects that align with your highest priorities.
