North Foothills Bikeway Community Advisory Committee Application

The North Foothills Bikeway will be a dedicated 11-mile biking and walking path along US 36 between Boulder and Lyons.
This road has more fatal crashes between cyclists and motorized vehicles than any other road in unincorporated Boulder County. A bikeway will greatly increase cycling safety and make it safer and easier to bike, walk, and connect to trails. The bikeway will mostly be on public land next to the road.

Committee Purpose
We’re looking for community members to help guide the design of the bikeway. People that speak Spanish and people that speak English are encouraged to apply.

The Committee will: Give feedback and ideas to help design a path for people who bike and walk and improve road safety.

Committee members will receive compensation for their time in the form of gift cards, food at the in-person meetings, translation and interpretation services, and support for transportation and childcare in the form of gift cards.

Time Commitment:
Up to four meetings in 2026 with possible additional meetings in 2027 (some in- person, some virtual)
Each meeting will last about 90 minutes
Meetings will be held in the evening or at times chosen by the committee
Review some emailed materials between meetings
