FDLE Core Analyst Training (FCAT) Class 24 Application

Application Overview

The FCAT Class teaches basic skills necessary for law enforcement analysts and is a required prerequisite course for admission to FLEAT and FLEAA.

Please note, this class is 2 days for non-FDLE analysts and 3 days for FDLE analysts.
Applications are due on Tuesday, June 5, 2026, by 11:45 pm (EST). Selected students will be notified of their acceptance by June 9, 2026. Students must then reply with their intention to attend FCAT 24 by June 12, 2026, to be admitted into the class and provided additional class details.

A room block reservation link will be sent out on June 15, 2026, and will close on June 23, 2026.

The application consists of the following elements:
  • A current professional resume
    • Your resume must be saved as a PDF, specifically "Last, First_FCAT 24_Resume."
      • Example: Scott, Michael_FCAT 24_Resume.
Professional resumes should list work and education experience in reverse-chronological order and include any relevant analytical training and skills. Professional resumes should not include pictures or contain work experience irrelevant to your job.
  • A cover letter
    • Your cover letter must be saved as a Word document, specifically "Last, First_FCAT 24_Cover Letter."
      • Example: Scott, Michael_FCAT 24_Cover Letter.
