Overview
The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) is leading an initiative to improve research collaboration between universities and local governments. This survey seeks to gather crucial input from university staff with external research collaboration experience on how to improve models for collaboration.
About the organization behind the survey: The State and Local Innovation team (formerly MetroLab) at the Federation of American Scientists aims to change the relationship between research and science and state and local policymaking by building an ecosystem to foster innovators and build policy innovations.
About this initiative: FAS recently published the Civic Research Agenda based on input gathered from cross-sector workshops and a survey of cities. FAS aims to supplement this work by gathering input from universities regarding both incentives for and barriers to research collaboration with local governments.
The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
