The City of Sanibel is in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan, known as the Sanibel Plan. A Comprehensive Plan is essentially a “road map” that guides decisions on land use, private investment, green space programs, and development of public projects. It describes the history, current state, and future vision of the community. While the plan won’t be able to answer all the questions about the future, it will serve as the city’s foundation.
