Thank you for your interest in taking part in a national survey exploring the sexual and reproductive health of LGBTQ+ communities. This survey focuses on the experiences of LGBTQ+ women, trans and gender diverse people, and their partners.

The information collected will help evaluate ACON's Word on the Sheets resource. Your responses will contribute to understanding how well the project is supporting the sexual and reproductive health needs of our communities.

This survey will take about 8-12 minutes to complete.

The Centre for Family Research and Evaluation at Drummond Street Services is hosting and analysing the data collected through this survey. If you would like to know more about the evaluation or have any questions or concerns about the survey, please email: arielle.donnelly@ds.org.au

What will the survey ask?

In this survey, we will use terms such as ‘sexual health’ and ‘reproductive health’. Below are definitions and examples for each term:

  • Sexual health includes anything related to consent, relationships, sex, STI symptoms and testing.
  • Reproductive health includes anything related to contraception, pregnancy, abortion, assisted reproduction, and fertility preservation.
Please note that some questions:
  • Ask how you describe your gender, sexuality and other social and cultural characteristics. This is to help us understand which groups of people are represented among the survey participants.
  • Ask about your sexual and reproductive health needs, including how you access or do not access services, experiences in health settings and at appointments. We will not ask for any personal health information, and you can skip questions that you do not want to answer.

What else do I need to know before completing the survey?

Your answers will be anonymous - we will not know who you are when you respond. All responses will be grouped together in an evaluation report for ACON. Nothing written in these reports will identify individual people.

You can exit the survey at any time. You do not have to answer every question. Some questions will require an answer. If you do not want to answer, you can exit the survey.

If any of the survey questions raise anything difficult for you, please reach out to a trusted friend or service that you are connected to, or contact any of the services listed here (this information will also be provided at the end of the survey):
