Education Act Modernization: Public Survey
You should complete this survey if you are a member of the public in the Northwest Territories interested in education.
The Department of Education, Culture and Employment (ECE) is gathering input from Indigenous governments and organizations, partners and stakeholders, and the public about work to modernize the Education Act.
ECE is asking you to give us your opinions and ideas about potential updates to legislation for Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 (JK-12) education in the Northwest Territories.
Your feedback and ideas will help ECE make changes to the education system to improve student outcomes across the Northwest Territories.
ECE has developed a Discussion Paper to help gather your feedback and ideas. The Discussion Paper and other engagement materials, including a brief version of the Discussion Paper, are available on ECE’s website at www.gov.nt.ca/EdAct. We encourage you to look at these materials as they will help you respond to the questions in the survey.
In addition to completing the survey you can share other views and comments with ECE by email at EAM@gov.nt.ca.
This survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. If you would like to see the questions before starting the survey you can download a PDF version of the survey questions.
You can skip through any questions you are not interested in or do not think you can answer.
