Expression of interest: Help shape National Academy of Social Prescribing (NASP)’s new strategy |
We are looking for patients who have not previously received social prescribing to help shape NASP's new strategy. We want to understand how people who are new to social prescribing would expect to hear about it and what they would need from the service.
NASP is a national charity that champions social prescribing. Social Prescribing connects people to activities, groups, and services in their community to meet the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing. GPs, hospitals, social care services, local charities and others refer people to a Social Prescribing Link Worker.
The Patients Association wants to hear from people who have no experience of social prescribing. Through a focus group, you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts on what good support would look like and what would make social prescribing accessible, helpful, and relevant to you. We will use the findings and recommendations from the discussion to help ensure NASP’s new strategy supports the delivery of high-quality social prescribing services for everyone.
This is an expression of interest form. By completing it, you are telling us that you would like to take part, but it does not guarantee that you will be selected.
We will review all applications and contact everyone to let them know whether they have been offered a place. If you are not chosen this time, please do not feel disheartened!
We carefully choose patients for all our work to ensure that we have a diverse representation that covers a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. We can only choose a small number of people, but we have many other opportunities you can get involved in.
We would love you to sign up as a free Patients Association member, if you are not already, and you can do so on our website here.
Any data you submit is collected anonymously and held in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). It will not be shared with any organisation outside of the project.
We really appreciate your interest and if we don’t work with you this time, we look forward to working with you soon.
If you wish to take part in our focus group, we will collect your name, contact information and demographic data for the purpose of forming a panel. All the information will be stored securely and confidentially in line with the Patients Association’s data privacy policy. Your name and personal details will not be shared with any third parties. You are free to exit the survey at any time – you can do this by closing your browser.
The deadline for completing this is 8am on Wednesday 15th July.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this.
