The Events Industry Council (EIC) is launching a strategic and focused update of the Sustainable Event Standards (SES), and we invite you to be part of the work. As sustainability expectations, industry practices, and global frameworks continue to evolve, now is an important moment to refine the criteria so they remain practical, relevant, and globally applicable.

The SES are a globally recognized sustainability framework developed by the EIC to help event organisers and suppliers measure, manage, and improve the environmental and social impacts of events through practical, performance-based criteria. The refinement, which includes alignment with JMIC's Net Zero Carbon Events initiative, is part of the broader collaboration between EIC and JMIC to support a more coordinated and effective approach to environmental and social responsibility across the global events ecosystem.
