Patient Information Forum Health and Digital Literacy Survey 2025 |
Every three years, the Patient Information Forum (PIF) surveys information producers to see how they are meeting the health and digital literacy needs of users. In 2022, we found the pandemic had been a catalyst for change, 33% of organisations had a health literacy policy in place and 80% assessed the equality impact of digital projects. In 2019, just 13% of organisations had a health literacy policy and 50% assessed the equalities impact of digital projects.
Health inequalities, digital exclusion and the need for clear evidence-based, accessible information will be critical success factors for the NHS 10-year plan for England and plans to improve health in the other nations of the UK. We are now repeating the survey to mark progress and see whether members have responded to our call to become health and digital literacy-friendly organisations.
The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete.
The closing date is 30 November 2025.
Please enter your name and email address at the end of the survey if you wish to be entered into our prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher.
We are very grateful for your help.
