We want to hear your vision and ideas.
The goal of the survey is to collect ideas for a new name for the body of water shown in the map below.
Survey responses will be reviewed by a coalition of organizations leading this initiative, including community groups, government staff and officials, and cultural institutions. The survey responses will inform a future public vote for a new name. The selected new name will be submitted to the U.S. Board of Geographic Names for an official petition to rename this body of water. This survey is also the first step in a broader process to promote future investment in this waterway and its neighboring communities.
All responses will be anonymous. This survey will take about 10 minutes to complete, with only three required questions.
