Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO) is seeking candidates as nominees to the Board of Directors for a three-year term beginning in June 2026. All applicants must be PRO Members in good standing.

The nomination deadline is Thursday, April 9, 2026.

The slate of Directors will be presented at PRO's Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

PRO seeks applicants who embrace our values of equity, anti-racism, and inclusion. We encourage applications from candidates who have been historically disadvantaged and marginalized, including applicants who identify as Indigenous peoples (e.g., First Nations, Métis, Inuit/Inuk), Black, racialized, people with disabilities, women and/or 2SLGBTQ+.

While all PRO members are welcomed and encouraged to apply, the following is being sought to enhance the existing complement of Directors and enhance representation:
  • Individuals representing the not-for-profit sector;
  • Individuals from Central Ontario communties;
  • Individuals with financial, legal, risk management and/or government relations experience.
