Futures Without Violence’s Institute for Leadership in Education Development offers a 2.5-day, hands on, highly interactive workshop that will help OVW grantees improve the design and delivery of virtual education.

Workshop Overview:

This Distance Learning Workshop will assist OVW grantees to create interactive, inclusive, and engaging virtual education. This workshop is designed to help grantees to introduce technology to their educational portfolios and/or to improve the design and delivery of virtual education. This introductory level course will focus substantially on the delivery of webinars and simple virtual courses. National TA providers, State Coalitions, and others who regularly offer webinars may find this course especially useful.

As a result of this workshop, participants will be better able to:
· Create higher quality, inclusive, and engaging virtual education, with emphasis on webinars and simple courses;
· Determine the best medium of education delivery to achieve goals and objectives for learners;
· Apply adult learning methods to a virtual environment;
· Discuss the range of options that are available for delivering virtual education;
· Troubleshoot and devise a plan for when technology challenges arise;
·  Identify and support dynamic facilitators for virtual education;
· Consider safety needs of learners who participate in virtual education on domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, and stalking.
