Help Shape the Township of Greater Madawaska's 2027 Budget

The Township of Greater Madawaska is beginning the process of developing the 2027 Municipal Budget, and we want to hear from you.
The municipal budget determines how Township resources are allocated to the services, programs, infrastructure and priorities that matter most to our community. Your feedback will help Council and staff better understand the needs and priorities of residents as they consider the 2027 budget.
This survey asks about your priorities for municipal services, infrastructure, taxation, spending and future investments.
Your feedback is an important part of the budget process. While not every suggestion can be accommodated, all responses will be reviewed and considered as part of the Township's 2027 budget deliberations.
Thank you for taking the time to participate and help shape the future of our community.

4.In 2025, the Township completed an Asset Management Plan and asked residents whether they would prefer to decrease, maintain, or increase the current level of municipal services. The majority of respondents indicated that they preferred to maintain the current level of service.

Based on this direction, the Township developed a 10-year financial strategy that considers inflation (CPI), operating costs, infrastructure needs, and the long-term asset management requirements. The strategy indicates that an average annual municipal tax rate increase of approximately 4.72% is needed to maintain the current service levels while continuing to invest in infrastructure and reserves. Considering this information, which approach do you believe the Township should take?
