RNIB Accessible Healthcare Information Survey

RNIB is carrying out research to understand blind and partially sighted people’s experiences of accessing healthcare information.

We want to hear about information such as appointment letters, test results, medication information and treatment guidance. We are also interested in people’s experiences of digital healthcare services, including the NHS App.

This survey is open to anyone living in the England who is blind or partially sighted and aged 16 and over.

The survey should take around 10–15 minutes to complete. This may vary depending on how you complete the survey and any assistive technology you use.

Your responses will be treated confidentially. We may use anonymous statistics or quotations in our research, policy and campaigning work, but you will not be identified.

Taking part is voluntary. You may skip any question you do not wish to answer.

Some questions ask about times when healthcare information or communication was inaccessible and how this affected you. We recognise that thinking about these experiences may be difficult. You can skip any question you do not wish to answer or stop completing the survey at any time.

There are no right or wrong answers. We are interested in your experiences, whether they have been positive, negative or mixed.
