Emerging Talent Bursary - International Masters of Wine Symposium

This Wine Australia emerging talent bursary will support young people (aged 18 – 35) in the Australian wine industry by funding attendance at the International Masters of Wine Symposium (IMW Symposium) being held in Adelaide, South Australia from the 15–18 April 2027.

Applicants must:
  • be between the ages of 18 and 35, inclusive,
  • currently be working in any area of the Australian wine industry (viticulture, winemaking, research, marketing, hospitality, tourism, etc.) and must be able to substantiate the connection,
  • be available, willing and able to attend in-person the full IMW Symposium as ticketed, from 15 to 18 April 2027 in Adelaide, South Australia, and
  • have the capacity and capability and must be willing to prepare and share their experience (through for example a short report, video, social posts and presentation, etc.) in relation to the competition, the bursary and the IMW Symposium, under the direction of Wine Australia.

Applications opened 10 March 2026 and close at 11.59 pm (ACST) 24 April 2026.
